RIP Garry Marshall

Garry Marshall was a television great, giving us my childhood Tuesday night ritual of Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley. He was a scriptwriter on the brilliant Dick Van Dyke Show, and brought Robin Williams into everyone’s home as Mork. He directed movies, too, including blockbusters like Pretty Woman (which I’ve never seen); and occasionally acted, where his distinctive voice and manner was always an amusing presence. Thanks for everything you gave us, Garry Marshall!
